Secret Santa - Part II

Here's Christi, the wonderful lady that was my Secret Santa.

Here are the gifts she gave me at the party...

She took an ice cream container, decorated it, then filled it with goodies.  Looks like she enjoys making 3x3 cards too. :)  I'm definitely going to be using her idea for "wrapping" a candy bar.  I love it!

She also gave me this wonderful smelling candle.

****************

~Here are just a few of the gifts she gave me over the last month~

This is a cute way to give candy.  Guess I should have taken the picture before I ate it all!

Love the cute notebook purse!

Hmm...am I really a Grinch?

...in need of Grinch pills!

I guess not! :)

Christi~ Thanks so much for all the wonderful gifts and the time you put into each one. :)

Secret Santa - Part I

I decided to be a part of Secret Santa, and I'm glad I did!  I picked Rachel Verbrugge and had a great time making and buying gifts for her.

Here's a gift card holder I made for her.  It was one of our challenges from Glenda for this month.  I figured why not include it in with the Secret Santa reveal. :)

I'm excited to finally be able to post some of the things I made for her!  Didn't want to let her know who I was (for sure) until after the reveal. ;)  I had a lot of fun making everything.

I bought a gift bag and decided to make a 3x3 card to match it.

I also made a few gift tags that I've been wanting to try, but never did until now.

Very easy gift tags to make!

I really got hooked on 3x3 cards when I did a card exchange a couple of months ago.  These cards are one of the gifts I gave Rachel in her reveal present.

I loved how these turned out, but didn't want all the cards to be the same.  I decided to reverse the colors for a little variety.  I made her gift card holder to match these. :)

Yup, I definitely had a fun time with all of this.  Glad I could be your Secret Santa, Rachel!

Red Hot Stampers

I figured I'd better get busy and do a little posting again...

What a blast we had at the Christmas party!  Thanks Glenda for a great time!  You really spoiled us with gifts and prizes. :)  Thanks ladies for all the delicious food too.

I didn't get pictures of Stamptionary (I guess that's our version of Pictionary) or Bingo, but I did get one of the name game.  I missed one name...darn!  Sorry, Judy...I'll remember your name from now on though!

Winter Scrapbook Pages

Here's another challenge from my upline Glenda....scrapbooking.  I went with 6x6...less work! ;)  I really like how it turned out though.  I got my inspiration for these from Jodie Peterson.

VersaMark with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder
1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon:  Rich Razzleberry and Marina Mist

Snowflakes!

Here are a couple of cards made with the same technique I used for my "Friday Workshop" Lovely as a Tree card.  I decided to give it a try with snowflakes to see how it turned out.  Not sure what I think of it yet, but they do look a lot nicer in person than in the picture.
Stamp set:  Snow Burst (retired)
Card stock: Whisper White, Marina Mist and Bashful Blue
Ribbon: Marina Mist and Bashful Blue (retired)
Classic Stampin' Pads: Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Pacific Point

I got my original idea from France Martin.  Here's her blog for info on how to do this technique:  http://www.frenchiestamps.com/2010/10/autumn-splendor-video-on-josephs-coat.html

Happy Anniversary

I had no idea where to start with an anniversary card...so the hunt began.  I ended up liking a card made by Lisa Flemming.  That's where I got the idea for the hearts on the scallop circle...then I went from there on my own.

Stampin' Spot:  Pretty in Pink
Modern Label Ex-Lg punch
Scallop Circle #2 Bigz Die

Lovely as a Tree

Here's a card I made Thanksgiving morning.  I needed a b-day card for my brother-in-law.  Yup, I tend to be a procrastinator. :(  Someday I'll stop doing that!  I love this stamp set and use it ALL the time.  I suppose I should buy my own.  I've been borrowing it from one of my "craft night" friends for quite a while now.

I used the set Lovely as a Tree.
Card stock colors:  Early Espresso, Always Artichoke,
Bravo Burgundy & Very Vanilla.
Classic Stampin' Pad:  Early Espresso
Modern Label Ex-Lg punch

Pink Purse

See Buster...isn't he cute!?

BAD BUSTER!!!

Yup, this is the chapstick purse I bought from Glenda for my niece's b-day.  Well, needless to say, I had to make her a new one after Buster had fun with it.  Once again I used a video from France Martin to make the new purse.

I just doubled the measurements she gave to make a bigger purse (12X12 DSP).  My daughter Rachel even made her a little coloring book to put in her purse. :)

Butterfly Pansy Cards

I came up with these cards when I saw a few samples of pansy cards and needed a birthday card for a friend at work.  I really enjoyed making these cards and used the idea for my 3x3 card exchange that I posted earlier.

Friday's Workshop

Here are the three cards I demo'd at my first workshop on Friday.  I got the idea for my first card from Kerin Sylvester using the Because I Care hostess set.  I used Whisper White and Old Olive cardstock, and Pretty in Pink and Old Olive stampin' pads and spots.

The second card is made using the Autumn Days set. I used Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, More Mustard, Bravo Burgundy and Very Vanilla cardstock.  I also used the Stampin' Write Markers in the same colors.

The last card I made uses the set Lovely as a Tree.  I used Very Vanilla and Early Espresso cardstock, and Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, More Mustard and Early Espresso Stampin' Pads. I learned how to make this card from France Martin here: http://www.frenchiestamps.com/2010/10/autumn-splendor-video-on-josephs-coat.html

Love what you do, Share what you love!

One of my first challenges from  Glenda.  I needed to make a card with the Love what you do, Share what you love stamp.

3x3 Card Swap

Here are two cards I did in a 3X3 card swap.  The first one is made with Elegant Eggplant, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla and Garden Green cardstock.  I used the Butterfly Extra-Large punch to make the pansy.  I sponged on Elegant Eggplant, then Marina Mist.  The second card was done with Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White and Marina Mist cardstock.
